Valetta, Malta - A steady stream of yachts have crossed the Rolex Middle Sea Race finish line in Malta today. Thirty eight boats have now completed the 607-mile course and although overall honours in the IRC Class was sewn up by Nokia two days ago, second place overall on the podium has now been taken by the Italian boat Squalo Bianco. |

Valetta, Malta - Four days after the start eight boats have now completed the 607-mile long Rolex Middle Sea Race, whilst another 25 are still at sea. Charles Dunstone's Nokia, the second boat to finish yesterday, currently has the best corrected time and looks likely to keep this honour. |

On the stroke of noon on the third day of the Rolex Middle Sea Race Neville Crichton's Alfa Romeo entered Marsaxmsett Harbour and crossed the Royal Malta Yacht Club's finish line in first place. Less than three hours later Charles Dunstone's Nokia sailed through the same stretch of water to collect provisional corrected time victory. |

Tough conditions for bulk of fleet, race record in the balance |

Valetta, Malta - The second full day of the Rolex Middle Sea Race has seen a stark contrast in conditions over the first. Other than the two retirees, the entire 44-boat fleet has now passed the Straits of Messina and the island of Stromboli. The leaders have had a relatively smooth passage West along the North coast of Sicily, but the bulk of the fleet are now enduring heavy weather upwind conditions. Right at the front, race leader Alfa Romeo is not quite on time to break the course record.

Valetta, Malta - The second inshore race of the Rolex Middle Sea Race Week took place today,
taking the fleet out and back around the island of Comino, 13 miles from
Valletta. The light to medium Westerly winds saw the fleet start downwind
from the Royal Malta Yacht Club line. The first boat home was again Alfa
Romeo who managed to collect corrected time honours as well. |

Valetta, Malta - The first inshore race of the Royal Malta Yacht Club organised Rolex Middle Sea Race Week started from Lazzaretto Creek between Manoel Island and Valletta. The Rolex fleet raced a 36-mile course out and back to the rocky outcrop of Filfla to the South of Malta. The first boat home was Neville Crichton’s 90-foot Super Maxi Alfa Romeo in slightly less than three and a half hours. |
